The Vencer Sarthe is a sports car from the Dutch car manufacturer Vencer located in Twente Nijverdal . It is the first car of the brand. The Sarthe is named for the Circuit de la Sarthe where the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The Sarthe was awarded the “Most Sensational Super Car 2013” at the Audemars Piguet British Super Car Show held at the society garden party Salon Prive.
The Sarthe is a hand-built mid-engined two-seater Super Car. The basis of the car is a hybrid space frame chassis, made of high grade tubular steel, with chrome-molybdenum safety structure and rear sub-frame. The floor of the Sarthe consists of an aluminium honeycomb structure. This combination of materials and techniques results in a lightweight, super strong and rigid chassis. For a low total weight and optimum safety, the body panels are made of carbon fiber. The car weighs 1,390 Kg and has an almost ideal weight distribution of 45 percent front and 55 percent at the rear. The engine is a 6.2l V8 sourced from General Motors V8 and it delivers 510 hp at 6,500 rpm. The engine is coupled to a six-speed manual with a limited slip Torsen differential. The sprint to a 100 Km would take just 3.8 seconds and is capable of reaching a top speed of 328 km/h.
The Sarthe is 4.5 meters long, almost two meters wide and only 1.2 meters high. According Vencer the design inspired by the Le Mans race cars from the 80's. The Sarthe is equipped with hand-stitched plush leather upholstery. In addition, automatic climate control and full entertainment system and other customary provisions are also provided.
