The muscle car era originated from the 50′s through the 70′s. Several countries such as UK, Australia and Brazil have produced their own muscle cars inspired by the ubiquitous American muscle cars during that period. However, the pioneers and leaders in this segment have always been the Americans. Though I do not fancy the overall American design propensities which, boded on idiosyncratic designing and forced styling such as their fetish for chrome, fins, massiveness, floaty-wobbly suspension setups, bright two-toning, tinted glasses and all the excesses that made their car design such an abomination. However, departing from their prescribed formula some of their muscle car designs were truly definitive in its approach. Most of the car manufacturers during this period had participated in several races to stem their superiority & oneupmanship. Please note that the listing is random, but since I love the Camaro Z38 the best I have it right up there in the first slot.
