Lotec C1000 Super Car
The Lotec C1000 is made by German sports car manufacturer Lotec, it was founded in 1962 by Kurt Lotterschmid. By 1969, the firm began building race cars, and would turn their attention to modifications for Porsche's in 1975. In 1983, they began to create aftermarket aerodynamic and performance parts for Mercedes-Benz cars. In 1990, Lotec was commissioned by a Shiek of UAE to build an exclusive sports car for him. The vehicle known as the Lotec Mercedes-Benz C1000 was completed in 1995, at a final price of around $3.4 million (USD). The car is equipped with a 5.6L Mercedes-Benz V8. The engine was fitted with twin turbochargers with a total output of 1000 bhp. It was built in the south of Munich with just twelve employees.
In 1995 it was the fastest car of its time that even brought Bugatti Veyron almost to its knees. While the Veyron was introduced in 2005, this monster was already ten years old. The car weighs just over 1,280 kg comparable astoundingly with a current Mini, which is a bang. It even had power steering and air conditioning. It was astoundingly fast and incredibly loud and could accelerate from 0 to 100 in just 3.4 seconds flat which was slightly more than the Veyron and it could also match Veyron's top speed of 431 km/h. Amazing indeed for a automobile created in the mid 1990's.
Lotec Sirius Super Car
The Lotec Sirius was introduced in 2001 as a Concept car. It went into production in 2004 and it is the latest offering from the German car company. It can go to a top speed of 248 mph (400 Km) and can go to 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds. Only 5 cars will be built per year with a price of £379,000. Manufactured from the lightest and most modern materials applied in the aerospace and automobile industries. The bodywork is produced from the optimum combination of carbon, Kevlar, tubular steel and glass fiber materials. One thing is certain: The Lotec Sirius looks extremely sleek and is neither aggressive nor unnecessarily coarse or even frumpy. On the contrary, the styling with hidden under glass A-pillars looks really good - a very handsome combination of sportiness and individuality.
Lotec superb design has stood the test of time and it looks modern even today despite the fact it was styled nearly 15 years ago. This is one of the most powerful road cars of all time churning out an incredible 1,200 bhp and a maximum torque of 1,320nm from a Mercedes sourced V12, it races from 0-200 km/h in a pulse pounding 7.8 seconds.
The Sirius is equipped with a Mercedes 600 V12, 48 valve, 2 special KKK dual turbo chargers, with 6 speed manual gearbox. The car is equipped with an independent front and rear suspension with unequal length upper and lower A-arms, coil springs, tube shocks, anti-roll, bars and power steering. Racing power brake system includes an ABS. Top is an astounding 400 km/h. (Text: Adapted from Lotec)
