Some cars are worth a Sin, and amusingly named SIN R1 contributes aptly even in its Name. The mid-engined splendid looking Super Car is built by SIN Cars GmbH a small volume Super Car manufacturer based out of Munich, Bavaria, Germany. After years of racing experience with cars sourced from other manufacturers SIN GmbH decided to develop its very own GT Super Car. After two years of testing under optimal racing conditions and a continuous product development program to the chassis of the car, SIN decided to present the R1 to the market and was exhibited at the "GoodWood Festival of Speed".
The design of the Sin R1 with flat lines, broad, side air intakes and authoritative styling is reminiscent of the McLaren P1. The R1 will have both a road and a racing going variants. Under the hood, is a Standard LS3 / LS7 V8 sourced Engine from GM Performance producing 525 bhp which does duty in the Corvette C6, not a bad proposition at all. The Graziano six speed manual gearbox unit comes from the Porsche 911 GT2, again a winning proffer. The chassis are from British suppliers ProFormance Metals. The Sin R1 is therefore a real multicultural car!
Thanks to its lightweight carbon fiber bodywork and tubular steel structure it weighs an astonishing 1,100 Kg only and provides the R1 a tremendous power to weight ration quotient. Rather wishful to speculate, the performance ticks would not be a worry at all. The sprint from 0 to 100 Km is a dumbfounding 2.5 seconds and the claimed top speed is 321 km/h. Rest assured it is as sure as shooting SIN to behold. While the specs looks bright the current cost at a whopping £60,000 per unit is also rather Sinful!
