Arash Motor Company is a small British sports car manufacturer based in Newmarket, Suffolk, England. It was originally established by Arash Farboud as Farboud Limited in 1999 and changed name in 2006.The company developed the Farboud GTS in 2003 and sold the rights to Farbio, which subsequently became part of Ginetta.
Arash AF8
The AF8 was announced in 2014, featuring a mid-engined 7.0-liter V8 engine producing 550 bhp at 6,500 rpm, torque of 637 nm at 5,000 rpm, the gearbox is a 6-speed manual aluminium construction with separate oil cooler and pump aided by light weight dual clutch plate with single mass machined fly-wheel. The engine has machined aluminium heads with smooth flow hand finished exhaust ports. It uses high strength forged steel crank shaft, titanium con rods and heat coated piston caps. Sodium filled stem valves, high lift cam shaft design with chain lubrication. The exhaust header system is double lined ceramic coated. The intake manifold is in ABS plastic with individual intake channels per cylinder. Other key technologies involved are the fly-by-wire stepper motor system and carbon fiber air boxes on each side of cam heads. The car is constructed with steel and carbon reinforced plastic sandwiched hybrid chassis. Suspension is through double wishbone in high tensile steel, polished and nickel plated, machined oil filled aluminium dampers. As per Arash site the car will cost 165,000 includes VAT for the UK market.
Farboud GT
The Farboud GT was the company's first model, announced in 2002 at the Auto Sport International show in Birmingham. It featured a 2.8-liter V6 twin turbo engine producing 620 bhp.
The Farboud GTS was shown as a concept car at Auto Sport International in 2003. Three cars were built before the design was sold to Farbio Sports Cars and production started in 2007 with the car sold as the Farbio GTS. Following the merging of Farbio with Ginetta, the GTS was further developed as the Ginetta F400.
Arash AF10
In 2009, Arash displayed the AF10, featuring a Chevrolet Corvette-sourced 7.0-liter V8 engine producing at least 500 bhp. The car was not put into production. (Text Adapted From: Wkipedia & Arash Cars)
