How many of us have heard of either QUANT e-Sportlimousine or nanoFLOWCELL a company based out of Lichtenstein, not me until now, or more so when they revealed what is to me one of the barmiest powered automobile in decades, a pipe-dream of gas being substituted with Salt-Water as fuel and a power unit generating 925 hp, reaching an incredible 236 mph (380 km/h) four-seater. Doesn't it sound slightly quirky. In comparison, the engine in a normal family sedan like a Golf develops a torque of 200 Nm and a luxury car like the Bentley Mulsanne does 1020 Nm. But this company has gone well beyond idle fancies and actually produced this marvel of a car in a short amount of time which is astonishing. This quaint automobile has been approved for testing on the streets of Germany. This is for sure a Super Car of staggering proportions.

The shape is aerodynamically designed and the gull-wing doors are large, the four electric motors are capable of moving the car as fast any contemporary Super Car. The fuel is supplied via two refillable cells containing a total of 400 liters of specially compounded salt water, a combination of high and low charged solution is pumped past opposite sides of a membrane to generate electricity, which is then stored in capacitors until it's needed. This is groundbreaking technology at its very best.

nanoFLOWCELL is owned by Nunzio La Vecchia, who also heads NLV Solar AG. The company produces a combination of batteries and fuel cells used to power the new Quant model.
