Are These Super Bikes or Super Cars?

Reverse Trikes are cross between a Super Bike and a Super Car. What do these intriguing machines qualify as, you can judge it yourself. Reverse Trikes have two steering wheels layout at the front and a non-steering wheel at the back. These machines looks are reminiscent of the celebrated Campagna Motors T-Rex, which is featured here. Most of these vehicles are light and provide thrilling Super Car like style, performance & feel making your daily humdrum trips exhilarating.

Tanom Invader TC-3
BRP Can-Am Spyder
The Tanom "Invader TC-3" represents the latest in the design thought and evolution of the growing Reverse Trike market segment in the USA. The Invader epitomizes the comfort and performance that can be had when the attributes of the motorcycle and sports are merged together in a High Performance Reverse Trike or HPRT. The Invader delivers the performance of a super bike wrapped in one-of-a-kind bodywork that seats two occupants in comfort car like side-by-side seating. The topless variant is called TR-3. Campagna T-Rex
Polaris Slingshot
The Campagna T-Rex is a two-seat, Reverse Trike made by the Campagna Corporation, Canada. It has a 1.4 L, straight-four engine. Although it is classified as a motorcycle, the interior can accommodate the driver and a single passenger seated side-by-side, with adjustable seat backs, a foot-pedal box, and three-point retractable safety belts. The manual transmission, controlled by hand, more closely resembles a motorcycle's transmission than that of a car. The T-Rex has been commercially available since the early 1990s. The Campagna T-Rex was styled by Deutschman Design. (Image: Campagna T-Rex)
The Slingshot is made by Polaris Industries based out of Minnesota-USA. It uses high-strength steel with numerous triangulation points for rigidity. Forged aluminum roll hoops offer rollover protection. Covering the tube frame are polymer body panels. The spare construction enables a curb weight of just 1,700 pounds (771 Kg). The Slingshot is powered by GM-sourced 2.4-liter EcoTec 4-cylinder engine, and generates 173 HP, the performance is stimulating considering the its low weight. The chassis incorporates electronic stability and traction control and 3-wheel ABS. (Adapted From: About.Com)
